Located in Goregaon, this project by Oberoi Realty landed us in a race against time, with only forty-five days in which to get a show apartment ready for their prospective clientele. Spread over 1,675 feet with three bedrooms, we had a logistical challenge on our hands, particularly given the skeletal brief. As a result, we decided to go with a custom look created entirely by the studio, with every aspect of the apartment incorporating craftsmanship from across the country.
A prominent feature within the space is three-dimensional textures and finishes, commencing with the main door -- its surface is cut into small squares in an imploding pattern, one which is repeated throughout the apartment creating a visual design language. The stone flooring, brass hangings and French windows which allow in plenty of natural light are all elements running throughout the apartment, as we sought to create a serene ambience uninterrupted by distraction.
The living room palette is white and pale blue, with one 3D textured marble wall bordered in beige. Going with custom furniture, it holds our C-Chairs and a disjointed centre table crafted from individual surfaces. The dining area features our Belly Table, complemented by wishbone chairs.
In the master bedroom, the headboard and wardrobe doors are clad in a 3D pattern similar to the living room, albeit in grey leather; the overhead lamps resemble crumpled paper and a large lamp replica of Edison's bulb sits on the bedside table.
