Frozen Motion

As the name suggests, this collection was an investigation into creating a series which would encapsulate the idea of having ink set in motion. Using specific ink consistency and a dedicated pouring process when the resin is nearly set, each piece is completely transparent, its form kept absolutely simple and monolithic, with focus drawn toward the process of the ink dissolving. The collection is more an R&D experiment, carefully exploring the material, understanding its properties and presenting a piece of furniture that is a physical manifestation of the research.

The Frozen Motion collection was created and showcased at India Design 2016 in New Delhi; it was one of eight winning entries in the design competition organised by the Godrej Design Lab (GDL) in association with Elle Décor, as a result of which they helped develop prototypes and produce the collection.
